Legislative advocacy activities may include:

 

  •  in-person meetings between JFI-MN members, our elected officials and their staff

  •  building a massive e-action and phone list to activate our members at key moments

  •  a national and statewide postcard campaign - public community events to garner public attention

     and mobilize legislative advocacy

Mission:

 

To pass the humane federal immigration reform that we so desperately need, it is incumbent that we bring our collective voice to key decision makers.  In this case, that means that our work in Minnesota will be directed toward our federal congressional delegation.  These eight U.S. Representatives and two U.S. Senators will be making key votes that will affect immigrants and our entire state for years to come, and it is our charge to ensure that our voice and vision is heard in the U.S. House & Senate through our elected officials.
